Enterprise AI company RapidCanvas has raised $29 million in a Series B round led by Vertex Ventures SEA & India, bringing its total funding to $52.5 million. The round, announced on October 16, 2026, included participation from Hitachi Ventures, Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures, according to the company's announcement and subsequent news reporting.
The company said the financing follows self-reported 8x growth in annual recurring revenue over the past six quarters, driven by enterprises demanding measurable outcomes from custom AI running in production. More than 40% of RapidCanvas customers now operate multiple AI use cases in production, the company stated. RapidCanvas plans to direct the new capital toward expanding go-to-market teams, growing its field AI engineering presence in the US, Brazil and India, deepening partnerships with private equity and advisory firms, and further investing in its platform products.
The 'Hybrid Approach' to Enterprise AI
What attracted investors, by the company's own account, is a delivery model that sits between two familiar extremes. RapidCanvas pairs its AI platform with field AI engineers who deliver custom AI solutions: the engineers learn each customer's business processes, design and build custom AI applications, and stay accountable for the applications' outcomes after delivery.
Reporting by Win Warfield at citybiz, drawing on the company's positioning, describes the target customer as organizations that often have executive-level AI initiatives and dedicated budgets but lack the internal technical resources or implementation strategies to deploy customized AI applications at scale. RapidCanvas positions its Hybrid Approach as an alternative both to traditional consulting engagements and to self-service AI development platforms, offering the service through a subscription-based pricing structure that the company says changes the economics of enterprise AI.
The model's distinguishing feature is continuity. Rather than handing off a finished application, field AI engineers remain involved after deployment to support operational performance — a structure designed to address the gap between an enterprise's AI ambitions and its ability to run custom systems reliably in production. The company frames this as the reason enterprises are willing to subscribe: outcomes, not tools.
Three Pillars of the RapidCanvas AI Platform
The human expertise is only half of the model. The RapidCanvas AI platform, as described in the company's announcement, brings together three products that together capture enterprise knowledge, accelerate development and govern production systems.
The first, the Enterprise Context Engine, lets an enterprise capture how a business process runs — from requirements and tribal knowledge to data schemas and decision history — and, notably, the enterprise owns that context. The second, the Visual Development Canvas, lets AI engineers rapidly build custom AI solutions that meet industry benchmarks, drawing on a skills library that the company says gives each new solution a 60% head start from proven, benchmarked code. The third, the Operational Harness, manages and governs AI solutions once they are deployed in production.
The three products map onto the lifecycle of an enterprise AI application: context capture before development, accelerated building during it, and managed operation afterward. The 60% head-start figure is company-reported and has not been independently verified.
